Bio

Hello! Welcome to Ms. White's Kindergarten page. Kindergarten is an exciting year for both student and parent. We will learn about ourselves and the world around us. We  will learn our alphabet, sounds, and how to put them together to read and write. We will also focus on our high frequency words so that we can become fluent readers. In math, we will learn to count to 100, recognize numbers to 31, patterns, simple addition and subtraction, and read graphs. Science and social studies also play an important role in learning more about the world around us. We will learn about community helpers, rules, America, plants, animals, and holidays.

In the classroom, we focus on teamwork and making sure that we are respectful to each other and the teacher. This year will be an exciting one as you see your child grow rapidly in their reading, writing, and math skills. It will also be exciting in that we are going to be a co-teaching classroom this year. Miss Mary will be the other teacher in the classroom. That means your child will benefit from two teachers working with them at all times.
