Vice Principal
     Dr. Mark Davis, II, is a lifelong educator who enjoys working with children. His greatest hope is for community transformation by the development of great schools.
     Dr. Davis was raised by his mother and father, both of whome are educators. He has one older sister; both are natives of Saint Louis, Missouri and products of the University City School system. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness from Langston University, a historically black university (HBCU) in Oklahoma. He advanced his educational background by completing a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
     In 2016, Dr. Davis completed and defended his dissertation research, entitled Obstacles of African American Males in Obtaining and Retaining the Superintendency, at St. Louis University's School of Education to earn the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree. The research culminated with a Qualtrics-based electronic survey instrument designed to feel the pulse of the nation as it relates to the perspective of African American male school district executives. 
     As a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and a member of the Prince Hall Freemasons, he has dedicated his time and talent to working with organizations to support youth and the African American community. He has served as a teacher, mentor, vice principal and principal. In addition to his current role, Dr. Davis is supplementing his work within the Jennings Schools by leading the student council, student ambassadors, news reporting team in addition to developing a schoolwide mentoring program for young men. 
     Dr. Davis is also an esteemed 25-year member of New Sunny Mount Baptist Church, where he serves on the deacon's board and as chairman of the Board of Christian Education. He was most recently recognized by Saint Louis' North County, Incorporated as being one of 30 "Top Leaders in their Thirties."
